Favours: Phase 2

As you can see the favours are glass, and we thought it would be great to etch our initials on them. The plan was for Alexandra & Sandy to come over next weekend so that we could complete the dreaded 240 favours. Weeeellll . . . after prepping the glasses, I actually decided to do about 60 of them, and then another 30 the next day. Now, I didn't do this for quality control, cause... I gotta say about only 65% of them turned out without any errors (lol). And to be quite truthful, if they were helping me, the percentage of perfection would be probably around 85%. So why did I do it? Well as you can see from the progress of our wedding plans, I like to do things immediately and not really wait. Plus I have other projects that cannot be completed without their help, so why not get a head start on the easier ones myself. :) Well today I prepped another 60 glasses, and will probably finish prepping the rest by tomorrow.

So are you wondering why I just prepped and did not complete them? 3 words. Child Proof Lid. Guess I will really need Van's help to actually complete these favors by helping me open the lid for the etching cream.

I know how boring my long posts are without pictures, so here are 2 pictures for you. I cropped the picture so you can't figure out what the glass item is. And please don't mind the background, I needed something colorful for the etching to show as its quite faint. Plus "Go Oilers Go"!

*** sidenote for everyone thats wondering why I keep talking about Alex & Sandy, and haven't mentioned Elaine, it's cause she's been globe trotting and will most likely be back sooner to the wedding! :)

the critcut didn't have that many options. . . and w/o the crown it seemed a bit plain. LOL it started as a joke but ended up being there.
