Here's how they're made.
1) cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the membrane & seeds
2) place the peppers in boiling water for 5 mins, then remove & wash with cold water to stop the cooking process.
3) in a seperate pan, cook ground beef/onions/bell peppers (I just diced some off the top I removed... basically any vegetable will do)
4) in a bowl, add your ground beef/veggie mixture with cooked rice. I didn't have tomatos so I just threw in some sausa. I then added some worchester sauce & sugar
5) stuff the bell peppers with your mixture & top with some shredded cheese, then place in the oven at 350 degrees.
I only had 3 peppers so I cooked for 15 mins. Other receipes I saw cooked for 25 mins, but they had more peppers. Since everything was already cooked I didn't see the point in leaving it in the oven too long. I basically just eyeballed everything so I can't give you measurements :)
Overall, it was pretty good. Tasted like tomato rice LOL. We didn't eat the outside pepper so that portion felt like a waste!
