Marriage Commissioner & Hair/Makeup Trial

On May 12, 2009 we met with the Marriage Commissioner that Van found and decided to book her! Carillon was a very sweet soft spoken woman that was extremely organized (a woman of my own heart). She was flexible and Van and I (getting a bit tired from this wedding planning) decided to go for it! I originally did want a Male Marriage Commissioner for their booming voices that would make for an unforgettable video, but as we're not having a "real" videographer (no offense Jordan) we figured that Carillon's organization would be such a good fit for someone like me ;). I found the most perfect words that define a relationship/marriage and we just know that Carillon will make our day perfect!

Now onto hair/makeup! Yesterday I went for my first Hair and Makeup Trial! As someone that doesn't really like to be the center of attention, it was a bit strange to have my hair looking so . . . so . . . fashionable! Of course the hairdresser & Alexandra loved it! But, I decided to tweak it down a bit to make it a bit more "Cynthia". LOL they didn't really warm up to the modified version but Alexandra did say it was more "me". For the makeup I did decide to be a bit more adventurist and wanted a bit more makeup then I was used to and it turned out gorgeous! I do have to admit though I didn't love it until I tried on my evening gown and it just pulled everything together!! Course that's also what happened with my veil ("no, no.... i don't really like this veil.... i'll just save the money", "CYNTHIA!! try it on with your dress! you can't decide on a veil w/ your work clothes on" . . . I then tried on my dress and said "CRAAAAP... guess I have to buy this veil now).
