6 Months Left . . .

We have 6 months left until the wedding . . . it's a bit scary at this point. Let's now go over the list of what still needs to be completed (eek!):

1) Dressing up the cake table - will post more when I have the materials & complete it **done**

2) Shoe accessory - will post more once I start this project **done**

3) Centerpieces - need to buy ribbon to finish the look

4) Bridesmaid Dresses - almost completed but still needs some tweaking

5) Groomsmen Suits - will need the bridesmaid dresses before we look for suits

6) Marriage Commissioner - I've left this in Van's capable hands. . .

7) Card Box - Van's Plan, he has 80% of the supplies and I think a little nagging will help

8) Pictures for the slideshow - will need to give these to our good friend Hon 3 mths prior to the wedding (lots of time right? ;))

9) Evening Gown & Chinese Dress - still debating **done**

10) Engagement Pic/Frame - have a brilliant idea for this . . . (stay tuned March 14/09) **done**

11) Florist - will need to hammer some more details with the florist. (Feb 20/09) **done**

12) Venue - will need to go over some details with them and do a tasting

13) Photography - decide if we will upgrade to the premium package or not

14) Favors - need to finish the minor details on the favors . . . awaiting Mom's arrival in March!

15) Wedding Bands - quotes in progress

16) Transportation - probably look into this 1-2 months prior?

17) Music - Vans plan to figure out how to accomplish this without a DJ.

18) Makeup/Hair Artist - have 1 place in mind. If you know any reasonably priced individuals please let me know! Must be able to start work at 6am.

I think that is about everything that needs to be done for the wedding. . . am I missing anything? Since we've gotten quite a bit done at this point, I'm debating 3 more projects . . .

1) Seating Arrangement Chart:

Pros:

+very elegant

+guests will have something to look at while waiting in line

+will help the ushers/guests find their tables

Cons:

-will require some hours on photoshop

-will need to buy supplies and bigger paper

-will need to print at staples or some place where they can enlarge the sheets

2) Ribbon Place Cards:

Pros:

+ beautiful design and love the different types of ribbon used

+ every guest will feel special with their own place cards

+ can spruce up the guestbook table with the lovely colors

Cons:

- time consuming

- will require alot of ribbon and wastage

- will only be able to complete 1 month prior to wedding as will need to know who will be attending the wedding

3) Water Bottle Labels:

Pros:

+ will be a nice surprise for guest in the 23 degree heat during our ceremony

+ personalized

+ can add a pop of color

Cons:

- will require a couple of hrs on photoshop

- will need to figure out what type of paper to use so it does not get soggy, or freeze the water bottles

- who would help bring these?

Right now, I am leaning away from number 1, 2, and leaning towards project 3. Van thinks we have enough on our plate and kinda thinks I'm crazy for considering more projects. So I guess we will have to just wait and see what happens next. Sidenote (cute how the project pictures turned out to be the same colors. . . not planned when I pulled them off of Google.)
