Getting to Know Cynthia & Van

Thought we would reveal some interesting facts that our friends, or family may not know. . .

Cynthia first:
1) I am gullible and easy to con. When I was 10? My brother once paid me a Chocolate Bar to mow the lawn. . . did i mention that we had no neighbours & 2 huge side lots? (think n alley on one side and the start of a crescent on the other side)
2) I love to read when I have time, but I speed read which means I finish a book usually in 2 days because I don't eat or sleep. My favourite author is Terry Goodkind, his one series took him 13 years to write 11 novels. I have never been disappointed with his books, and if you love fantasy novels you should pick up his first book Wizard's First Rule. Don't let the size intimidate you! Once reading you realize there's so many aspects that relate to life.
3) I love to cook, it's just that my food usually doesn't taste as I've imagined. Sad to say, van has a natural flair for it while I struggle with concepts like adding sugar and salt in 1 dish. My next dish I'm going to try is Pho! Well it will be more like, Van will make it and I will watch and then the next time I will know how to do it since I'm a visual learner.

According to Van:
1) I hate Shrimp, not Seafood. Common misconception that I hate all seafood, in reality I just hate Shrimp because of the taste and texture of it. (Cynthia also notes, Van hates fish too LOL)
2) When I was younger, I had a dream of being a Chinese Movie Star acting in TV Series. I even considered moving to Hong Kong to pursue this career.
3) I have a lucky star. When I was a baby and we were leaving Vietnam to Macau, there was a mistake in the medication and I didn't get the sleeping medication. Since I was crying the whole time, we were unable to sneak onto the boat. All the boats that night ended up sinking in the ocean .
