Tale of Two Dinners

So it's friday and me and van are indecisive as to what to eat. Van decides he wants soup and rice. So he makes rice and heats up the tomato/potato soup that mom made. Done!



I however decide to indulge in my favourite honeymoon food. The Caprese Salad! A simple salad of Mozzarella, Tomato, Salt, Pepper, Olive Oil and Vinegar. It's not the same as in Italy where they had Buffalo Mozzarella and you can taste the freshness of the cheese, but for today my simple imitation will do. I also decided to use Truffle infused Olive Oil which made it taste just a bit more heavenly and the Vinegar that we had bought in Italy. The Vinegar as well is oh to die for... it was a hefty $20 for a small bottle, but it makes me want to google and have it shipped over here. Nom Nom Nom.











At the very last minute I added Proscuitto to the top of it which gave it that little bit of saltiness that was missing. And though I wasn't able to make it look good in the picture, I can assure you it was Delicious!!
